:: LIFE AT PRO

Our most important assets are our front line field providers. As a relatively small company, we’ve been able to maintain a family oriented atmosphere with low turnover of personnel. We’re especially proud of the fact that most of the paramedic staff started with Pro as EMTs and have continued training to the ALS level while working as BLS field providers. All of this has allowed us to maintain continuity by retaining a staff that is very familiar with our service area and other providers in the system.

All supervisory staff continue to serve as field providers and/or dispatchers in order to maintain a realistic perspective and remain in touch with the needs of the field staff. Management’s open door policy allows for quality, safety and training issues to be addressed directly and immediately in a non-intimidating fashion.

Field personnel respond to incidents in an ambulance fleet with an average age of 3 years. We continue to upgrade our fleet with identical Ford E450 Superduty ambulances manufactured by AEV. Each unit has Sirius Satellite Radio and a Verizon Wireless Broadband Connection. Our staff utilizes well maintained equipment such as LifePak 12s with capnography and NIBP, IVAC 3 channel IV Pumps, Panasonic Toughbooks with Zoll’s ePCR, their own Motorola portable radios and operate under progressive statewide protocols with local online medical direction.

All employee parking is indoor in our secure 12,000 square foot garage. Our West Cambridge location is convenient to major expressways and public transportation. We provide competitive pay, healthcare benefits, paid time off, flexible scheduling, ample overtime opportunities, an employee assistance program, continuous training, and we have recently added a fitness room in an effort to take care of the providers that are charged with caring for your community. In-house and web based training classes are always available to our field providers.
