CERTIFICATIONS AND REFRESHERS
ALS Refresher: 48 hour Paramedic Refresher required by Massachusetts for EMT-P recertification. All topics of pre-hospital emergency medicine will be discussed and reviewed as well as changes in state protocol. Knowledge and skills will be tested at the conclusion of the course including Sim Lab Practical. $225.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage adult cardiac arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of prearrest emergencies (bradychardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.
Initial Course: $175.
Refresher (Second Day of Initial course includes Sim Lab Practical): $100. |
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP): This course provides the information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest. PALS also emphasizes strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children The class reviews the cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest. This course also includes comprehensive instruction filled with prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children. PEPP is designed to give prehospital professionals the education, skills and confidence they need to effectively treat pediatric patients. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP specifically teaches prehospital providers how to better assess and manage ill or injured patients.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP): This course has been designed to teach an evidence-based approach to resuscitation of the newborn. The causes, prevention, and management of mild to severe neonatal asphyxia are carefully explained so that health professionals may develop optimal knowledge and skill in resuscitation.
Initial Course: $175.
Refresher (Second Day of Initial course): $100. |
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS): For certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. Basic Trauma Life Support for the EMT-B and First Responder is a 16 hour hands-on training course offering basic EMS personnel complete training in the skills necessary for rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and transportation of trauma patients. The course is designed for providers providing initial evaluation and stabilization of the trauma patients.
